We would like to share Kamile’s story and celebrate her achievements. 👏Kamile has been attending the Maltese children’s day care centre for several years, and last year she started attending an adolescents’ day home. Alongside her time at Maltese, Kamile has developed into a creative, enterprising, empathetic, and courageous individual. During her time at the children’s day-care centre, Kamile discovered her passion for music and taught herself to play the guitar. We are pleased that her music is now being heard not only at the adolescents’ day home but also at various events. Kamile is also participating in the joint mentoring programme of Maltese and the Jonas Valančiūnas Support Foundation by completing an internship at TeleSoftas.👩‍💻

The Jonas Valančiūnas Support Fund together with the Order of Malta Aid Service (hereinafter referred to as the Maltese) started to implement the project “Preparation of children and young people for independent life, using sport-based support”. The goal of the project is to develop a quality support service for vulnerable children and young people, using a sports-based methodology for changing the behavior of children and young people and developing skills important for independent living.

The project is financed by the EEA and/or Norwegian financial mechanisms (www.norwaygrants.org). The amount allocated to the project is 250000 Eur.
